On Fire for Christmas!

I think I've got the boys in the Christmas Spirit! I've
been singing Christmas carols for the past few weeks. I think they like it. No one admits to it, but I know deep down in their heart of hearts they are just dying to let out a good ol' "Santa Baby" or "Jingle Bell Rock."


We decided to put wreaths on the station and lights on an old truck. Well, ok... we were told to do so by the Chief. But I know one of them would have suggested it eventually! It was a lot of work but well worth it. Not only was everyone impressed with the job we had done, I think the guys felt a little bit merry after we finished. By the end of the day I think I even heard a meek little "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" coming from somebody. They can't fool me. You can knock a scrouge outa anybody if you try!

Merry Christmas

Well, I finally decorated the house for Christmas. Simple, yet merry. I saw a picture of someone's armoire decorated really festive (I think it was the Wannamaker's) but I couldn't seem to get anythink to look right - so I opted to leave it and go simple this year. I really want to go after-Christmas shopping to get decorations and wrapping paper and all that good stuff on sale this year. Hope all the good stuff's not all gone!

I also did this nifty little centerpiece for my table. Just got a few pine cones and pine needles and surrounded a candle in this glass jar. Dropped a few pine cones along the table runner, and Wa La! (Is that how you spell Wa La???) Oh well. Merry Christmas!
